Description
The Courageous Lion was designed to honor a fallen San Diego Police Department officer, who was fatally shot in the line of duty last year.
Notable elements in the patch design include – The quote, “Luctor Et Emergo”, which translates to “I Struggle and Emerge”, was a quote from the family as part of the eulogy. The quote is Latin from Dutch origin, which is where the lion comes in. The light towers in the back represent San Diego, which come from the SDPD shoulder patch itself.
A portion of the proceeds from this patch sale will be going directly to the officer’s family.
